Zendesk Relate

Show openers are the lifeblood of an in-house motion designer, and Zendesk Relate was no exception for me. From 2019 until my departure in 2024, I worked on every graphics package and show opener for the event. Each year, the location changed, and the design evolved to reflect the soul of the host city—making it an exciting challenge every time.

Here’s a look at some of my favorite years:

2020 – At the Miami Convention Center, this year's visuals were inspired by ‘80s gradients, vaporwave aesthetics, and, of course, the sun.

2022 – Hosted at the MoMA in San Francisco, the show opener transported viewers into a 3D art gallery, blending modern design with an immersive, museum-like experience. I was lucky enough to lead the animation this year, with special thanks to Nick Schoener for being our 3D specialist. It was a blast teaming up with Nick—animating the C4D files together and having his expertise for the final renders.

As Zendesk grew and evolved, so did the team, meaning credits varied each year—but every project was a collaborative effort that pushed creative boundaries.
